This is the second of about a dozen posts covering a Blogger Tasting of Wines of Chile. For the first post, please click here.
Wine #2: 2011 San Pedro 1865 Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc
Appellation: Leyda Valley
Notes: 100% Sauvignon Blanc. 13.5% ABV. The second wine of the Blogger tasting evening was was a little more typical of a Sauvignon Blanc, with some green notes as well as layers of citrus. Very crisp and clean, very nice acid, very balanced. Not as great a value as the first wine, but this is certainly good stuff.
Price: SRP $19
(Wines were provided by the Thomas Collective. There was no compensation, and my opinion is just that. Mine. If the wine is good, I’ll say so. If it sucks, I’ll say that, too. I already got the free wine.)
