2008 Paul D Grüner Veltliner
Appellation: Wagrum, Austria
Tasting Notes: 100% Grüner Veltliner, 12.5% ABV. The color of straw in the glass. Citrus nose, with minerality coming across along with a little melon and a little floral aroma. Great minerality, very smooth mouthfeel, but still crisp and refreshing. I get lots of citrus (lemon and lime), and a little white grape, which is tasty. The minerality, mouthfeel, and acidity really make this a great summer day drinker, but the underlying flavors along with that acidity will make it a nice pair with some delicate fish or salad. Mouth watering, and really will shine as an aperitif or with light appetizers or hors d’oeuvre. Very nice. Great QPR, this is a great value for your next summer party.
Price: $8.10 on Snooth, this came in a mixed case from Chesapeake Wine
